Technology Dictionary

This page is slowly under construction. It shall contain all of the common PC terms used today, such as motherboard to network topology. In each definition, will be a link to some sort of article dealing with that term. This will help anyone that is having trouble with said term, or would just like to learn more about it. Access Point:

An Access Point is a device that allows a user of a computer, (or cell phone or other web-capable device) to connect to the internet. Active Matrix:

Active-Matrix technology is used in most high-quality flat-panel displays such as LCD screens, and has become even more and more commonplace. Images on an Active-Matrix are created by passing an electric current through a diode, making it light up. Newer displays such as LED monitors (Light Emitting Diode), take more of this Active-Matrix technology. Same as which when resolutions of screens go up. More on Active-Matrix
