Amd Thuban. Finally

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103849

it's official, up and for sale. All details you would ever need are in it's product description. Now let's just see if this weaker but much cheaper six core will fend well against the preemptive Intel monster. Right now, I don't think it's all about he proc. I think it's more about the chipset that it runs off of, seeing as Intel and AMD are having somewhat of a chipset war. Well see more as AMD works on his fusion proc.s and Intel works on it's Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge. Hopefully fusion lives up to it's name and actually provides people with netbooks that don't bluescreen when you accidentally block an airvent to it and have graphics that can actually play 1080p without lagging so INSANELY badly. Hopefully Intel also get's over itself and let's Nvidia into more of it's chipsets so we can see a true Intel/AMD competitive netbook market.

Huge bid for graphics card

http://item.ebay.com/290428376868#ht_629wt_1083

XFX limited edition number 68 is being sold on ebay for thousands of dollars so far. Why is it on ebay? I don't know, Either way, I wouldn't spend that much for a graphics card, that's insane.

even more 3ds

The Nintendo 3ds will likely be the most powerful handheld system from Nintendo and Sony. I conclude this from all of the information I have looked at.

Possible system specs:

  • Dual ARM Cortex-9 Processor 300 MHz - 1.0 GHz
  • 1080p Possible playback (Screen resolution permitting)
  • 1.8MP camera
  • Dual 3d touch screens
  • Possible video out (Maybe a mini HDMI port through adapter)
  • Built in memory 512MB realistic 1GB+ possible DDR2
  •  3D Joystick
  • Backwards compatibility
  • 12 Hours + battery life
  • Larger screens with larger resolution built by Sharp and/or Hitachi
  • Comes in all colors (I wish lol, Neon Green is awesome, Maybe an Nvidia 3ds?)
  • Accelerometer
All in all this console is either set up as a huge win for Nintendo, or a great disappointment for the rest of the community. We'll have to wait until E3 in June to really find out if it's a hit or miss.

XFX card stolen

"Dear XFX Customers,

In our current inventory check of this limited run of 1,000 individually serialized pieces, #68 has been unaccounted for. Due to evidence of a security breach in our facility, we believe it to have been illegally obtained as the product has yet been released per the embargo date. Please be aware that the person responsible will be subject to persecution by law. If any news can be provided to lead us to the apprehension of the suspect, or you can provide us with any information, please report it to security@xfxforce.com. Please do not attempt to buy, trade, or barter for this unit. We thank you for your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

If anyone has this card, XFX wants it back

Actually, this is part of XFX's gamertainment program so don't be alarmed!

More 3ds news, Release date.

The Nintendo 3ds will be Nintendo's new handheld gaming system with 3d technology being applied without having to wear those ridiculous glasses. It may use a built in filter to have a 3d view. It is also rumored to release in October

"It's a surprise--we were expecting it much closer to Christmas," one publisher told CVG. "But I suppose it gives Nintendo the opportunity to get it front and center in people's minds nice and early. In my experience, you don't launch a product that early to Christmas unless you're confident in it--and going to spend a lot of money on it. We're reassured that Nintendo is going to give it some decent backing in Q4." Read More

Nintendo DSI vs. DSIXL vs. 3DS

Nintendo has been the number one competitor in the handheld gaming market for quite sometime now and they have had many major changes to their systems over the years. The biggest change was from Gameboy to DS. Now other major changes may lay ahead for Nintendo. A more recent addition to their handheld family was the DSI, a DS with a camera (or eye 'I'). An even more recent addition was the DSIXL, somewhat of a reincarnation of of the original DS. Now soon to be released (or rumored) is the Nintendo 3DS. With the sudden spur of 3D technology coming out, it seems that we may soon enough see the holograms of star wars replacing our computer monitors.

However, the 3DS is likely to be a different kind of 3D than we know of. Arstechnica.com released some good information about the 3DS including somewhat of a 'demo' of how it could work using an existing DSI.

Now comes the question, are these systems worth all the fuss? My answer is no, but a lot of you would see otherwise. I own a Nintendo DS lite and that is all I need. I've modded the heck out of it and would hesitate to replace it with a DSI and it's grotesque camera quality (seriously, early webcams have better resolution than those cameras). Using RAM carts the Nintendo DS lite really is the superior system, even though it lacks very minor interactivity, this is covered by the ability to still use the old Gameboy Advance games, or even a RAM expansion. Most RAM carts lack the ability to use the memory added to the DSI and XL, but this could change in the future.

The DSIXL is a great choice for people with minor vision problems (like me) and like to have something a bit larger and more showy. There is also more room for modding inside of the actual system, however, I would not recommend for people with little hands, (I don't recommend Burger King for those people either.)

3DS is likely the more major of the changes to the DS line. It's likely to use image tracking to move objects in the game making them appear three-dimensional. This will probably require a more powerful processor or even a graphics core. This is not likely to give you the power a PSP has, but it's Nintendo, they don't need that power. This power would give the system the ability to better process information without lagging because let's face it, even the DS lite lags (at least in Geometry Wars Galaxies).

Now for a year to year photo line of each handheld Nintendo system!

Happy April Fools!

Google has changed in a big way this April 1st of 2010. In honor of Topeka Kansas changing it's name to Google, Google has changed it's name to TOPEKA!

This is a funny joke played by Google to get all of you gullible suckers into beliving that Google is Topeka. If this was true, the URL would have been changed by now as well, or even just temoralily for the joke.

Razer has also stunned gamers with a new product, Venom. They have devoloped two products that can bring us humans into zombie mode. FOR REAL. This will bring you into a whole new level of gaming, I like to called, Zoned-the-f**k-OUT! Or tuned in, like, down the billionth of percentage.

This is another hallarious joke upon others from different companies today. Razer went the distance and even included an ordering process.  If this is true however, god, help, us.
